"* For the German market, the mixed air lantern types No. 323, 327 and No. 423, 427 were no longer offered from around 1935. However, there are still models no. 323 without a crank lifter, but with a ring lifter. Presumably, stocks of tanks that had already been minted were used up. These model variants were soon removed from the program because they offered no advantage in terms of lighting and corresponded to the basic model no. 305. The Nier patent for the crank jack was granted in 1902 and canceled in 1906. In 1913 it was granted again to the Nier company (DRP 271690) after the copyrights had been clarified."
