FRÖHLICH & WOLTER - Nr. 877 Dead Flame Lamp with CAMERCO glass chimney
This lamp was in very poor condition when I purchased it. The nickel plating is deteriorated in several places and there is no more I can do. The burner, itself, was pristine. The glass chimney that is in this lamp is NOT the correct chimney, yet it does fit properly. The chimney would have been much taller at one time and the previous owner cut off the chimney but also cracked the top of it leaving jagged edges.
Using Silicon Carbide Sand paper, I was able to level out the glass chimney. The etching on the globe has the CAMERCO logo. 'CAMERCO' is Carl Meyer & Co. In regards to the 'CAMERCO' logo, I was given further information by Lutz-Juergens, who is well versed and extremely knowledgeable about Carl Meyer & Co. THANK YOU LUTZ!
"The chimney shows the CAMERCO-Trademark. It´s very difficult to determine the exactly date, because the main center of the Trademark is very damaged. I have
more than 50 different Trademarks of CAMERCO. This fragment shows the Trademark around 1930. This time specification is only for the chimney, not the complete lamp (877)."
Best regards,
Lutz

Hello Melanie,
Hans-Werner gave me the information that you bought this lamp. The chimney shows the CAMERCO-Trademark. It´s very difficult to determine the exactly date, because the main center of the Trademark is very damaged. I have more than 50 different Trademarks of CAMERCO. This fragment shows the Trademark around 1930. This time specification is only for the chimney, not the complete lamp (877).
