FRÖHLICH & WOLTER - FROWO 420
With 'Badge'
This lantern came to me with a beautiful and quite heavy pear shaped globe that is embossed with the word 'FROWO'. This was most likely original to the lantern.
My most treasured globe, embossed with the Hünd, now resides in this lantern.
Notable is the rare 'badge' on the fount. This lantern has now all three accoutrements portraying the Hund (Dog), Fröhlich & Wolter's most recognizable and desirable logo.

Hello Chris,
I do not have just the lantern. I'd like to see your globe though. Please use the main contact form and then we can chat.

I have just the pear shape globe, do you have a lantern with no globe for sale?

Você poderia me ajudar a conseguir um vidro original? Obrigado.

Hi, very lovely lanterns. I have a Frowo 420 lantern with the wolf head (hund) on side. Mine is made from copper or brass. It still has a little bit of green paint under cage guard. Also my glass is unstamped and seems original. Has wood handle on globe lever. Little research done points to my lantern being pre WW2 because of the material it made from and it’s green paint. I believe it’s from the first line of Frowo lanterns. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly Ethen.

Hello Judith,
Metal Rescue is my first line of defense. Then, it is a lot of super fine steel wool and Mother's polish. You can also use Citric Acid for most of the surface rust at first and then a final 'bath' in Metal Rescue. I hope that helps!

Oh I do Love this...hoe did you get all the rust away

Oh My! What a beautiful lantern! The badge! Mel, you've outdone yourself on the restoration. Your photos are also fantastic!
