The lantern arrived to me in very bad shape. The rust was pervasive and when it was put through the rust removal process, the one area of the fuel tank 'collapsed'.  The burner had to be re-built which was difficult given how deteriorated the burner was.  These burners are impossible to find or replace so it was necessary to save it as best as possible.

The globe may have been embossed at one time, but I do not know for sure. It is a very old globe as I can see the hand blown marks on it.  This lantern was made for a very short time in history and was worth saving.
